ATHENA final logo inspired by the insights of a student of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria
The ATHENA project consortium announces Desislava Nedelcheva from the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse in Bulgaria as the winner of the ATHENA logo competition launched in May.
For the development of the project’s final logo, a contest in Athena’s partner universities and institutes was launched among students and professors that were asked to provide insights and/or examples of the project logo. The overall objective was to engage and raise awareness of the gender issues in science and the constraints to female researchers. These students were called to participate and be part of the project by sending ideas for a logo in order to inspire the creation of the final ATHENA project logo to be used in the project for the next 44 months.
The award is to be attributed and managed by the partner in charge of the communication and dissemination activities of the project, the Regional Fund of Science and Technology, and the project coordinator, Consulta Europa Projects & Innovation S.L.. The prize is to finance the travel to attend ATHENA’s meeting in the Azores in the first third of the year 2022 – a prize of an amount of EUR 1050.00 in travel and accommodation.
